The spring weather is gorgeous this week, and Tristan and I took advantage and went on an al fresco lunch date.  There is this little burger stand here in Brighton, CO called Big Daddy’s.  This burger and fries operation has been around for decades, and it looks more like a place that you would see at a carnival or on a beach.  We have driven past it about 20 thousand times, but every time we would decide to go, it would be closed.  So finally, after 11 years of waiting, we went and they were open, and we tried it!  As you can see in the photos, the burgers live up to the name – they were HUGE!  The fries were delish, and Tristan liked the onion rings as well.  Their menu is pretty basic, and the picnic tables and chairs were in pretty rough condition, but this is exactly what I loved about it.  Independent, no-frills, comfort food.  And eating outside on a lovely spring day is definitely a favorite:)
